Service is the language that unites us.

In a time when our feeds are filled with division and the political climate feels hopelessly polarized, Dr Martin Luther King Jr.’s words hit harder than ever. “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”

It’s easy to focus on what separates us. It is much harder-but much more rewarding-to focus on the work that connects us. Volunteerism disrupts division. When you are serving your community, political labels disappear. You aren’t “left” or “right”-you are simply neighbors showing up for one another.

We at Betty’s Body Shop want to celebrate those who show up for their communities, bridging that divide.
Tell us in the comments how you show up for your community and you’ll automatically be entered in our drawing for a free massage.

Last day to enter is Jan. 31. The winner will be announced on February 2, 2026.

Let’s fill this comment section with stories of unity!
