What’s the difference between Reiki and massage?
While massage involves the manipulation of tissues using pressure and kneading with the focus of decreasing muscle pain and stiffness, Reiki works along the body’s energetic meridians and uses very light touch to promote deeper relaxation. Reiki may be added on to your massage services on select days— see “add ons” for pricing and availability!
Who can receive Reiki?
Anyone may receive Reiki! This service is non-invasive and is perfect for those sensitive to pressure. Additionally, Reiki can be very beneficial to the nervous system after major life events like surgery or pregnancy. If you are looking for grounding and nurturing touch without the pressure of massage, this service is for you!
I would like to add Reiki to my massage or skincare service, what does that look like?
Once your massage or skincare service is completed, your Reiki practitioner will guide you into deeper relaxation using breathwork, meditation, and implementing light touch along the body’s energetic meridians. This add-on is perfect for clients looking to spend extra time on the table after a massage, for those who are looking for a nervous system reset, or for those who just need a little “tune up”! Reiki is available on select days, check out “add ons” for more info on availability and pricing!
I am currently pregnant or breastfeeding, am I able to receive Reiki?
Yes! Pregnant or breastfeeding clients are able to receive the relaxing benefits of Reiki as they feel ready. Please inform your practitioner of any complications or relevant health conditions before your service begins so we may best care for you.
